When your government and its institutions declare war on your race and consistently , stylishly over the years carry out a genocide of people of colour. You would be remiss in your duty as a person of colour to keep quiet. As Jesse Williams of grey’s anatomy said, the American police manage to de-escalate situations everyday without taking a White life, why can’t they do the same with Black lives.
